AIFA call for independent scientific information on medicines is underway

On 12 May 2022, the Agency's Board of Directors authorised the use of approximately 5 million euros to finance independent scientific information activities on medicinal products.

These resources are part of the funds provided by the State-Regions Agreement of 6 June 2019 (for the years 2015, 2016 and 2017), which defines the guidelines for the implementation of an active pharmacovigilance programme through the stipulation of conventions between AIFA and the individual Regions.

With this Call, AIFA intends to select a project for the development of independent scientific information initiatives on drugs and vaccines, aimed at healthcare professionals and patients/citizens, to be carried out throughout the country.

The areas identified by the Agency as priorities are paediatrics, oncology, chronic diseases and antibiotic resistance.

Proposals should be submitted by a group of at least three proposing Regions. The independent scientific information projects, with a minimum duration of two years, should include newsletters at least once a week on extremely topical issues, scientific update reports and narrative and/or systematic reviews on specific topics.

Applications for participation in the call should be sent exclusively via the certified email address: areavigilanzapostmarketing@pec.aifa.gov.it  no later than 18.00 on 22 July 2022.

The text of the call with its attachments and the forms for submitting proposals can be consulted on the page dedicated to the Regional Pharmacovigilance Funds.

For any inquiries on how to apply, please write to the following e-mail address: areavigilanzapostmarketing@aifa.gov.it
