AIFA's new Board of Directors takes office

The new Board of Directors of the Italian Medicines Agency took office on Wednesday 20 March. The Board of Directors, which will be in office for the next five years, was convened and chaired by Francesco Fera, Member designated by the Minister of Health, as Deputy President, and is composed as follows:
- Francesco Fera, Member designated by the Minister of Health
- Emanuele Monti, Member designated by the Minister of Economy and Finance
- Angelo Gratarola, Member designated by the Permanent Conference for Relations between the State, the Regions and the Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano
- Vito Montanaro, Member designated by the Permanent Conference for Relations between the State, the Regions and the Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano
The Board took note of and endorsed the forthcoming signing of an Agreement with the Regions for the financing of projects on Pharmacovigilance amounting to €5,051,397 and the assignment of PNRR Funds for interventions to strengthen corporate cybersecurity amounting to €480,000.
The administrative director Giovanni Pavesi and the technical-scientific director Pierluigi Russo took part in the session, as required by the new Agency Rules.
