Please note that, as of 1 April 2022, the certified e-mail address (PEC) aam@pec.aifa.gov.it will be closed and will no longer be available for sending requests and documents in digital format.

Any certified email sent to the above-mentioned mailbox after 1 April 2022 will not be received and, consequently, will not be processed.

As of 1 April 2022, any communication addressed to the Medicinal Products Authorization
Department and to the relevant Offices must be sent to the certified e-mail address protocollo@pec.aifa.gov.it.

For this purpose, the “AAM/” reference must be included in the subject of the e-mail.

If several documents need to be sent simultaneously, these can be attached to the certified e-mail as a single “zip” file (up to 40 MB).

Technical instructions for sending the documentation:

Please note that all documents to be sent by certified email should be included in a single zip file of up to 40 MB. 

• Scanned documents must be in PDF format and must have a resolution of 200 dpi for all black/white or colour combinations; where possible, they should not exceed 10 MB.
• All scanned documents may be sent in black and white in order to limit their size; only if strictly needed, they can be sent in colour.
• Each scanned document should be checked against image quality, specifically framing, text integrity, and content readability.
• In case of defects of any kind, the document must be rescanned.
• Before sending the file, the quality of the digital image should be ensured.
