  These are communications in various areas, including safety, quality, availability and recommendations for use of medicines, guidelines, published for healthcare professionals, citizens and the media.

Direct Healthcare Professional Communications (DHPC)

These are safety communications sent to healthcare professionals by the Marketing Authorization Holders in agreement with AIFA to inform them about:

• suspension, withdrawal or revocation of a marketing authorization for safety reasons;
• restriction of the indication, new contraindication or modification of the recommendations for use for safety reasons;
• shortage of drug supplies or quality problems;

• PRAC Highlights At the end of each monthly PRAC meeting, highlights of the meetings are published on EMA webportal. PRAC Highlights are summary documents describing the decisions and actions that are expected to have the greatest impact on patients and prescribers. The most impactful parts of the highlights are translated into Italian language and published also on the AIFA webportal.
