AIFA provides the AIFA Medicinali mobile app, developed to offer citizens a practical and immediate tool for obtaining information, managing reminders, and receiving notifications about the medicines in use. Through the app, it is possible to directly access the database of medicinal products marketed in Italy, be updated on any shortages of medicines of interest, and keep track of the expiration and the marketing status of medicines.

AIFA Medicinali is a mobile device app intended for all citizens or care givers interested in getting medicinal products information and updates at any time in a simple and immediate way.
Where can I get the APP?
The app can be downloaded from the official Google and Apple stores accessible directly from devices via the respective Google Play and App Store apps.
The mobile app is supported for Android devices from version 6.0 to 12.0, and for iOS devices, from version 12.0 to 15.6.
What does "BETA Version" mean?
A beta version is an intermediate version, released to users to allow its use before the final version. It therefore has full functionality but may have some bugs.
This is why it is important for those using it to report any issues, allowing its stability and efficiency to be improved over time.
Where any technical problem with the app can be reported?
Before reporting an issue, you can consult the collection of known technical issues on this page to see if the problem has already been reported and if a solution is available.
If the problem is not already reported, it is possible to open a report through Customer Portal Rexpondo by selecting the “Heldesk” card within it and then filling out the form that appears, with all the required information.

What are the available functionalities?
AIFA Medicinali is designed to facilitate medicinal products management in everyday life: you can search for medications, view package details, product information, european public assessment report and have a list of the last searched medication packages.
It is possible to save medicines as "Favorites," create one or more virtual medicine cabinets with frequently used medicinal products, and set reminders to take medications.
The app also allows you to enter one or more health cards to have them on hand at all times.
Finally, notifications can be activated, to receive information on any shortages, marketing status and expiration of medicines of interest marked as favorites or stored in the personal virtual medicine cabinet.

Will the APP remain free for citizens in the future?
Yes, AIFA Medicinali is a tool that AIFA provides for citizens to foster a proper information and facilitate a daily management of medicinal products.
For this reason, the app is free and will remain so in the future.
How will security and privacy be preserved?
Security and privacy are preserved by AIFA in compliance with European Regulation 2016/679, also known as GDPR (or General Data Protection Regulation).
In the AIFA Medicinali app, no personal data is collected by AIFA. The only data requested is functional for receiving medicines-related notifications, if activated by users, via Google's Firebase Cloud Messaging service (more information about this service, can be found at the link: https://firebase.google.com/docs/cloud-messaging).
